Are you stuck with technical problems?

technical problems

Technical problems with your website can drive you crazy.

When you are stuck with technical challenges, you tend to:

  • Get obsessed in our head about figuring it out
  • Spend hours (and sometimes days!) searching for answers
  • End up exhausted and frustrated, and sometimes just want to sit down and cry

It’s not very productive… and I have some tricks to share with you that I’ve learned over the years.

How to spend your “tech-time” more wisely?

…And as a result, have more time for what your business is actually about – and what you are good at: Helping your clients! When the time spent on technical problems is out of proportion, hear the alarm bells ringing, and apply the following best practices to deal with tech stress:

4 ways to save time on technical problems:

1. Set a timer

Before you start, decide how much time your technical problem is worth. If you haven’t solved the problem within that time (likely), then go for the following options:

2. Ask a geek!

Someone who works with websites every day can teach you how to get it done (and quicker!), or even give you insights on a better way to solve the problem.

If you join my Facebook group, you can take advantage of Techy Tuesday Tip and Wednesday Question Day!

3. Ask yourself: Is it really worth it?

Did you ever get stuck on an idea of what you want, but hours of work later you find that it wasn’t such a good idea. Get a second pair of eyes on what you are up to, and consider how important it really is. Can you settle for an alternative solution?

If you don’t have anyone to ask, again here Facebook groups (especially those where your potential clients are active) are great places to ask feedback and opinions.

4. Delegate the whole thing

Let it go, and focus on what you are good at. Any investment you will have to make, will give you more time to find clients and do activities that bring in money. It can be hard to delegate, but once you have taken the step you will have peace of mind – and your tech problem solved!
